There are some things in my life that I don’t know what I’d do without. Music is one of them.

To me, it’s one of the many possible media through which love can be channeled. So since my skills are most refined in experiencing and creating and writing and playing music, it’s the primary way I try to make love more present in the greater world.

Now, as a very quick preface, I’m not saying this next part just to sound chill about what I do.

Producing electronic music isn’t about racking up sales or feeling awesome doing complex business or enjoying the idea of maybe someday traveling to amazing faraway places to play live sets. Don’t get me wrong, I sure like all of that. But what’s genuinely most important to me is whether or not my music makes people’s days better. That’s what I need out of it. I’m not doing days’ worth of audience research right now to find organizations and centers to make more potential buyers aware of my music. Yeah buyers are nice. Money helps with a lot of things, I’m not denying that. But it’s peripheral. I don’t want someone to buy my music if they don’t like it, just to humor me or go along with what others are thinking. I want them to like it. I’m doing the research because I want to reach that many more people who could potentially be made happier by my music. I want everything about it to make them feel better about something they’re having trouble with in their life, like this song right here did for me just now.

I believe that nothing is impossible, especially that no matter what you’re doing, there is some way to do it that’ll bring a tear to the observer’s eye. What you choose to do with your life is how you’ve chosen to move the people you come into contact with. You can do it with anything, really, if you try and want it hard enough, from ringing up the cash register between you and the customer to performing a surgery that’ll change someone’s life to passing by a stranger on the street to making a melody that pulls someone further into their own fascination which they’d mostly lost after their childhood. You want my statement on what I think music can do for people in that regard, I couldn’t give you a finite answer. It’s limitless.
